| Our Little Brave |
We had Rocky's first "friends" party. It was a pow wow themed party. I think it is safe to say he had the best time. We had lots of yummy food fry bread tacos and lots of snacks and appetizers. We had a craft setup for the kids. They could make their own rain sticks. Then we had a pinata and played pin the tomahawk on the bulls eye. Then everyone went out to see the goats and chickens and tire swing. We really had no idea what we were doing so we just kind of winged - wung it??:) My sweet sister Jessica helped with decorations, setup, food, and she even made the cake it was almost too pretty to eat but thankfully we did cut into it because it was delicious. And Rocky helped with all my little projects, he ran the games (he was hilarious) and he kept me sane. Couldn't have done it without them!!
And our friends were so patient with us (even though we clearly were amateurs). They gave Rock the sweetest most thoughtful gifts and as everyone was singing happy birthday to our boy I became a little overwhelmed looking around at all of our friends here singing to Rock. We are so blessed to have friends that have become like family to us here. They are honestly the kindest, most generous, hilarious, and fun group.
And Little Rock was of course so spoiled by all of our far away family. They sent him cards and gifts that he is obsessed with and everyone called and video messaged him their birthday wishes. He definitely felt the love and we are missing all of you so very much. Thanks for everything we love you!!
