Since London's time with us was sadly coming to an end we decided to make one last sojourn to the beach. We stayed at one of our favorite campgrounds. We typically take the 4 mile round trip hike to the edge of the cape for breathtaking, panoramic views of the ocean and coastline. We love this hike because it's pretty flat and Rocky can almost do the whole thing by himself but, last minute we decided, against our better judgement, to take the other hike down to the beach. We always figured it wouldn't be worth it to see just another beach; aren't they all basically the same? Plus the big game changer is its straight down (you know which means it's also straight up on the way back:). Long story short we went for it and we were glad we did. We had the entire thing to ourselves. Not another soul around for miles and miles. The views were spectacular and the water was warm enough to swim. Not going to lie though the hike back out nearly killed Rocky and I but, thankfully London was unfazed by it and entertained us with her stories and ideas the whole way up. Love that girl, gonna miss her like crazy!!
