| Frog Catching |
It has been so fascinating to watch hundreds of these little frogs turn from tadpoles to little frogs over the past visits. This time we were fortunate enough to find some like minded companions to get muddy with.
Most of the time we get in a little trouble from other parents here. Most people that visit stay on the nice dry deck and observe the pond from there but, my boy is not having that. He LOVES to get muddy and so I give in and let him get right out there into the mud and muck. It gets us into trouble because other families come by and the kids see him covered in mud and the kids beg their parents to get out there and then I get the death looks. But, today there was a grandma with her grandson and she said YES when he asked her to go get muddy. She was so sweet telling me how important it is for kids to get muddy and it made me feel a lot better about our rebellious ways.
Those two boys found a container and caught as many frogs as they could and the giggles and belly laughs were worth a thousand hours of clean up. They were loving every second of it and of course, they let them all go before we headed to the creek to wash up.
