Arizona

My tree loving boy had to find the nearest tree and climb it.
We made a couple of trips to Arizona this summer. Our Poppy Garth was heroically battling cancer and it continued to get worse. We were fortunate enough to spend time with him before it became unbearable for him. He has meant so much to Rocky and I and to see him suffering was so heartwrenching. How thankful we were that we got to be with him and tell him how much we love him and how grateful we are to him for his amazing example of hard work, kindness, faith, gentleness generosity and service. He has blessed the lives of all who have come in contact with him and especially those that are lucky enough to call him family.

Sadly he lost his battle on June 6, 2016. We didn't think we would be able to make it back to Arizona for the funeral but, thanks to some more than generous family members we made it. The service was beautiful and it was wonderful to hear how much impact Garth has had on so many people's lives.

Although under terrible circumstances we loved being with family and Rock had so much fun being with cousins all day everyday.
