As a pre-birthday celebration we planned a fun day trip. We took a train to the zoo and the children's museum. Little Rock has loved trains for some time now so we thought he would get a big kick out of riding on a real one. He loved it so much. He was saying "ALL ABOARD!" and "CHOO CHOO" the whole time.
The children's museum and zoo were a lot of fun also. But, they were all just a cover for the real reason we made the trip. Poppa and Grandma were arriving from Arizona to surprise the two birthday boys. Rocky's parents and I had been secretly planning the surprise for months. And that is a really big deal for me because I can't keep anything from Rocky, EVER. I tell him his presents nearly the minute I buy them. I am so horrible at surprises. So, when we pulled it off no one was more shocked than myself.
The whole day I was edgy just wondering if it was going to work or if something was going to give the surprise away. I was getting texts from Tina updating me on when they landed, when they got their rental car, etc. So I was just counting down. I let them know where we were and I caught a glimpse of them. So I headed us in that direction. Rocky had Little Rock on his shoulders and they walked right on past them, Little Rocky was looking right at them the whole time in confusion. I waited with them knowing Rocky would come back looking for me. A couple minutes went by and he finally rounded the corner and saw them. The look of complete surprise and happiness on his face was so great! And Little Rocky was so happy to see them too.

I'm so proud of you for keeping the secret stacey, I dont think i could have done it!! And I am so glad my parents were able to see you guys, they were so excited!!
